Dyngus Day 2009

Before we know it, Easter Sunday will be here, or as we call it in our part of the U.S., Dyngus Eve. Monday, April 13, 2009 will mark Dyngus Day, a Polish holiday to celebrate the unification of Poland under Christianity.

As with nearly all religious holidays, in Northern Indiana we celebrate Dyngus Day by consuming copious amounts of beer. If this doesn't say, "Go Jesus," I don't know what does.
